Q. How many members in each club? A. I pay close attention to the amount of hunters each property can sustain. I blend the members whose interests may be only turkey, only deer hunting or both with the acreage available. I use a ratio of one hunter per one hundred acres as a good rule. Q. Can I use the property year round? A. Yes, all my properties have the feature of year round access. Q. Do you maintain food plots on your clubs? A. Yes, on every club I have installed food plots which are planted in both the spring and fall. All plots are fertilized and dolomited regularly. Q. What about feeders? A. All my clubs have feeders which are either maintained by the club or the members on a year round basis. Q. What game is available? A. All clubs have trophy deer, turkey and hogs. Q. Do we get doe tags as members? A. Yes, I put in for doe tags on each tract of land I manage. Q. What about tree stands? A. Each member is allowed three stands. There are some "club" stands on each lease. Q. What are your harvest guidelines? A. Deer – bucks four points on one side, spread outside the ears. Once you kill a buck the next one has to be bigger than your last. Quota - four bucks per year/per membership. Turkey - state guidelines, Hogs - harvest as many as you can. Q. Where do I stay when I hunt? A. I have lodges on all my big tracts of land. You will be assigned a bedroom which will be secure. Q. Do you ever have small tracts I can lease and form my own club? A. Yes, from time to time I have small secure tracts which I sublease out. Q. What is the cost of your clubs? A. The family memberships range from $2600 to $2700 per year. I do have corporate memberships available from time to time. You must have a corporation to qualify. Q. What does the fee include? A. The privilege of hunting the property during the various hunting seasons. Also, using the property year round, food plots planted, corn put out, mineral blocks maintained, electricity, water, Christian values maintained, QDM practices implemented, roads mowed/groomed, low hunting pressures, lodging and the chance to harvest a 140-150 class deer in Florida. Q. What about dog hunting? A. All clubs have NO dog hunting near by. No dogs allowed on the property. Q. What is the length of your lease on each tract of land? A. I have long term contracts on all my properties. Q. If I pay the membership fee and something comes up later, can I get a refund? A. No, refunds. I have a budget to meet and once I fill any available openings, I do not want to have to start looking for members late in the summer when everyone else has joined their hunt clubs. Q. Do you have any other membership plans. A. Yes, I have a membership for 500 dollars a year for people who want to take pictures during the off season. My clubs are for the serious seasoned hunter. I do not have many openings in my clubs because of the way they are run and the amount of game I have developed on the properties. If you get in a good club you generally do not get out. I am more interested in the character of the people in my clubs than just putting people in to "fill an opening". If I have an opening and you are interested, you will be screened very carefully, to insure you have the same values as my current members and you can "get along" with the rest of the club members. My clubs are NOT for the person who is a competitive hunter, who will get mad if someone else kills a deer that they were hunting or harvests an animal in the general area that they were hunting. We are low key, laid back, trophy hunters who enjoy our properties and the other members. |
